| | Hosted by Rob Zombie After Zombie assaulted audiences worldwide with the violent high-octane road classic The Devil’s Rejects, the brutal follow-up to his critically acclaimed directorial debut, House of 1000 Corpses, he returned to his first love, music, with Educated Horses, his first album of all new material in almost five years. It hit stores in March and went to No. 5 on the Billboard charts. Zombie is the longest active artist on Geffen Records, having been on the label for more than 15 years. Additionally, he is the most-awarded Geffen artist when it comes to gold and platinum discs: His seven is more than any other Geffen artist solely on the merit of their Geffen output. Film is never far behind, as Zombie is currently working on his next film project, an animated film entitled The Haunted World of Superbeasto. Now in production at Film Roman as a feature-length animated film, it’s slated for released later this year. Zombie recently joined forces with Dimension Films to reinvent John Carpenter’s smash horror flick Halloween – not a copycat of the original but an entire new take on the Michael Myers legend. Zombie is also a prolific video director, having directed more than 25 videos. In 1995 he won an MTV Music Video Award for “More Human Than Human,” making him the first self-directed artist to win such an award. Zombie has also directed numerous music videos for other artists, including most recently Ozzy Osbourne. |
